In accordance with the growth of import shipments, a long-term ban on the transportation of containers in gondola cars was lifted. Import cargoes are delivered from the ports of the Far East to container terminals in Siberia, where they are reloaded onto fitting platforms and then sent to the final destination stations afretwards.
Our terminal has experience with this technology, that has been used to process container trains since 2013 before the ban was introduced.
The first test train was overloaded and sent out within 24 hours.
