TransContainer and multimodal logistics operator SIGIR GROUP have agreed to develop a joint service for the transportation of goods as part of container trains from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk, the transport company said.
The service from Elektrougli station to Bazaikha station, which is adjacent to the SIGIR GROUP terminal, is focused on the transportation of consumer goods from the Moscow region for small, medium and large businesses in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Currently, TransContainer operates in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, mainly using its own terminal at Bazaikha station. Its total area is 10 hectares, the capacity is about 4.3 thousand TEU, the processing capacity of the terminal is more than 150 thousand TEU per year.
The companies signed an agreement as part of the international exhibition TransRussia 2022.
"Thanks to cooperation with SIGIR GROUP, we will be able to complete the service from Moscow to our terminal at Bazaikha station and increase the number of departures. Trains from Elektrougli station will be able to leave on a daily basis, which will reduce delivery time, increase transportation volumes and TransContainer's share in the traffic between Moscow and Krasnoyarsk,” said Sergey Mukhin, Vice President for Commercial Activities at TransContainer.
